Ready for Spring Break Fun at Apache Family Campground & Pier

Getting ready for some Myrtle Beach fun in the sun? We at Apache Family Campground & Pier are excited to welcome you!

Come have fun and let it all hang out – but don’t let it ALL hang out!

Taking a family vacation or coming to the shore with your college friends? Just a heads up, while Myrtle Beach is a blast, there are a few beach rules to keep things happy for everyone. Here’s a quick guide to keep your spring break relaxing and enjoyable.

Beach Bum Basics

Swimwear: Keep things family-friendly, so thongs are a no-go. Myrtle Beach specifically prohibits thong bathing suits in public areas. Pack your favorite swimsuit, but keep it modest.

Leave No Trace: Help us keep our beautiful beaches clean! Be sure to pick up all your trash and clean-up when you leave the beach.

Night Owls Take Note: Nighttime beach bonfires and sleeping under the stars can be nice, but it’s not allowed.

Be Safe in the Sun: Umbrellas are your shade friends, but large tents and big structures aren’t allowed because they block the line of sight for lifeguards.

Beach Rules in Season (March-April)

Alcohol Alert: Beach time is BYOB-free! No glass or alcohol is allowed on the beach.

Leash Your Pooch: Furry friends are welcome, but they gotta stay on a leash no longer than 7 feet. And don’t forget those cleanup bags! (Dogs are not allowed on the beach between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. from May 1 through Labor Day.)

Beach Safety: Dig a hole, build a sandcastle – have fun! Just keep any hole smaller than 2 feet deep and fill them back in so others don’t trip. Metal shovels are a no-no for digging fun.

Fishing Fun: Wanna catch a big one? Keep your fishing line at least 50 feet away from swimmers, and remember, shark fishing is off-limits.
