Whether you just want to check out the view, take a stroll, enjoy live entertainment at the pier's covered center stage, or fish all day long, visit the Apache Pier in Myrtle Beach. It's the East Coast's longest wooden fishing pier and it is open 365 days a year.
Bait & Tackle Shop: A complete supply of fishing gear, bait & tackle is available in the Apache Pier Bait & Tackle Shop. Rod & Reel rentals are available at daily rates.

Registation for the Fall King Mackerel Tournament begins September 3, 2010. The Tournament will run September 17, 18, 19 from 6 am to 7 pm. Entry fee for the tournament is $40.00. The pier will also host a Pier King Mackerel Tournament on Saturday October 2, 2010. Entry Fee for the 1 day pier tournament is $20.00. Sign up for this tournament is start September 18, 2010.
As of July 1, 2009 all individuals recreationally fishing in saltwater from shore (beach, bank, private dock, free public pier, etc.) will be required to have a fishing license. You do not need to have a fishing license to fish on Apache Pier. However there is a charge to fish on the pier.
